Baseball With the day to day fueling of your body, making the RIGHT fueling choices is where you will see the greatest impact on performance. What you eat before games and practices has so much to do with how you may play.
Foods need to provide you with energy, but not weigh you down. As provided by My sports Dietician, …”What, and how much, you eat depends upon the amount of time that you have before your baseball game. If you’re eating 3 – 4 hours before a game, have a well-balanced meal consisting of complex carbohydrates, a moderate amount of lean protein, and a serving of healthy fat. Eating closer to an event is a bit trickier since you have less time for the food to digest. When eating 1 – 2 hours before a baseball game, choose foods that are high in easily digestible carbohydrates, but low in fat, fiber, and protein – since these nutrients delay digestion. Also, stick to familiar foods – you don’t want to throw your stomach a curve ball before a big game!” Tennis- Micro-Mineral Nutrients are FUELThe physical demands of tennis can be extreme, especially at the professional level. Staying hydrated is extremely important for playing tennis as the intensity of matches can necessitate ensuring dehydration does not impair performance. Hot weather conditions can lead to high sweat rates (and fluid loss) so the addition of a natural electrolyte nutritional drink can be transforming.
